Question Helix Networking Options???

Okay, I am trying to not spend a lot of money on graphs. I have a Helix 9 Gen 1 SI graph on my console which I have networked with a two 800 series (one on bow and one on the stern).

With that said. I want to keep the Helix 9 Gen 1 and am looking at a used Helix G2N Mega SI model to use at the console. If I go this route, will the Helix 9 Gen 1 show the Mega images via the network?

If any of you that have networked Gen 1 and G2N Helix Mega SI models could share your setups, I would appreciate it.

I have 2 G2N units ad 1 G1N unit. I cannot see mega side imaging on the G1N unit. I can see it on both G2N units without a problem.

You can share waypoints, but not sonar/imaging

CHIRP must must be shut off to share any Sonar to a non-CHIRP unit ...

The CHIRP Configuration Menu is under the Setup tab of the G2N unit ...

Can you elaborate? Would I see a non-mega SI sonar image if sharing to a Gen 1?

Shutting off CHIRP on the G2N to allow Sonar sharing to G1 would allow sharing fixed frequency 83/200kHz 2d and 455/800kHz imaging to the G1 ...

Gotcha. Thanks. I was trying not to spend a lot of money on graphs and was hoping to keep the G1. The SI on the G1 is not very detailed/sharp. I feel I am missing out on sonar images of fish/objects under the water. Consequently, I don't use the SI function as much and rely on DI and 2D. But they don't accommodate getting the "picture" on what is to the sides of the boat.
