I have a dually and have the same issue unless the trailer is canted just a little I cannot see it I put tall guide on`s the back corner of the trailer more for seeing the trailer then loading the boat.

I can use my mirrors but my mirrors suck (older Yukon). I pop the hatch when there’s no boat on it because the trailer sometimes is out of view of either
mirror rather than put on mirror extension. Something to consider.
