My .02 cents.

I’d only really worry about an LCD cracking or pixels popping due to the cold. But... this is almost always caused by sudden change In temperature. If it were ice cold and all of a sudden brought to hot temp it could pop. I’ve seen this with laptops that have been left in vehicles. Anything that is going to gradually warm up would be fine, I think anyways.

How many of you have displays in your truck that you keep in an unheated garage? Or park outside overnight or at work?

I use to take my hummin bird off after every trip and now I loose gps because of worn terminals. Had to do some doctoring per You tube instructions and it's a crap shoot whether or not is will work. The unit is no longer serviceable from hummin bird as electronics update to fast. I'll be leaving mine on from now on.
Hummin Bird 1198c si top of the line at one time.
