Default Heated steering wheel for boat

Does anyone know where you can get a heated steering wheel for a boat? I think this would be a great addition for fall fishing and boating.

Not sure where you can get aftermarket but this is an option on the new Ranger 520R.

Pretty easy.
Remove the heated steering wheel from your truck and put it on your boat. Wire it up with a switch to the battery and you will be set.

Or, just to to a junk yard and get a steering wheel that will fit on the steering assembly that is heated and provide the wiring and switch and you will be set.

I don't know of any one who has done this, so you can do it first and then educate us all on how it is done.

---
I personally prefer to drive in the winter with deer skin choppers with Marian wool liners for full time nice cozy warm hands and forget about the heated steering wheel.

These are the exact gloves that I use for winter driving - whether it is a boat, truck or car and my hands are never cold. Note: I do not let these mittens get wet when I am out. If I am going to be handling something wet - I wear other hand coverings. I save these mittens for the times that I need dry warm hands.

For the wet work - rubber insulated gloves are a better choice. If possible, use mittens rather than gloves. By having each of the fingers touching the other fingers, your hands simply stay much warmer than if the fingers are separated by glove material - lined or not.

When working outside or ice fishing or similar activities out side - I ALWAYS use MITTENS - never gloves.

Take care

Here is a source for an electrically heated "boat" steering wheel:

Here are instructions to use carbon tape material to wrap any steering wheel - including a boat - steering wheel and appropriate wiring and connections to create a heated steering wheel on your boat or any where else for that matter.

That is a great idea. Even with gloves on a heated steering wheel would feel great!

thanks for the link to the heated steering wheel. I have used my boat to cross Brookville lake in Indiana for deer hunting and might start doing it again, a heated wheel would be nice in December when we hunt our muzzleloader season.
