Default My "New" Nitro ZV20

I've been talking about it this for years, but finally pulled the trigger this last winter. I put the deposit down with a Pro Staffer Guide on his boat so I got to spec it out exactly the way I wanted it right down to the color, graphs, and TM. The only catch is I wouldn't take possession of the boat until this fall. The good news is he didn't guide much this year nor does he fish tournaments and when I picked it up last month it only had 57.7 hours on it. He guides a lot of couples and older fisherman, doesn't drive fast, and doesn't go out in the rough stuff. So...pretty gently used.

I went with the 300 ProXS, 15 Hp Kicker, Power Steering, Trim Tabs, Hydraulic Jack Plate w/ blinker trim, Smooth Moves, Ulterra, two 12" Lowrance on the dash, and an Elite Touch 12" on the bow (Still considering the active target system). Also got the ski pylon option and an extra bike seat. I plane on chasing everything in this boat...Walleye of course, but also Musky and Bass.

Excited to be back in a big glass, big water boat again. I'm coming from a 2014 Ranger Reata 2050 that I sold back in the spring of 2017. The Reata was an awesome boat, but the livewell and the lack of storage held me back from keeping it long term. Hopefully the ZV20 lives up to the billing.

The best thing is I'm into this boat at 2020 pricing. Warranty inspections are performed, winterization complete, now I'm just waiting for Spring.

Very nice the ZV20 would be at the top of my list if I ever purchased another boat along with the Skeeter MX 2050 which they do not make anymore but me personally would never buy new. I am just too darn cheap and I admit it.

Congrats! I took delivery of my ZV19 Sport Pro in June. I absolutely LOVE it. I am sure you will too!

So you ordered and paid for the boat but a guide used it for a year? Never heard of such a thing-

They agree on the purchase price and gets ordered in colors and options the buyer wants. Buyer gets full warranty (usually). Many pro-staff work this way or at least they use to. I know Ranger canned a bunch of pro-staff when Morris bought Ranger.

I put down a sizable deposit with the Pro Staffer that was non refundable. Ordered the boat in January...the boat showed up in the spring. The Prostaffer used for the summer and fall and carried his own note and insurance. I took over ownership when he was done with it, transferred the warranty to my name. Pro Staffers get a substantial discount that was passed onto me. He got the use of a free boat for his season.

It's pretty common and most prostaffers have a list of guys waiting to take their turn or a few guys they rotate through repeatedly.
