A very respectable man and senator from the the days of decorum and civility. RIP.

RIP Mr Dole. Our country was better with men like him making decisions for all of us.

Wonder what he thought of the recent chaos that we are living in. Patriotism is a good thing, how did that become taboo to say?

Bob Dole was a good man. He is lying in state in the Capitol Rotunda today. It is one of the few times that Republicans and Democrats actually come together.

I had the opportunity to meet him and his wife in person at the WWII Memorial in Washington DC as part of an Honor Flight. He and his wife came to meet all of the WWII Veterans who were a part of that flight. My father and uncle were both WWII Veterans who fought in the South Pacific (Marines) and were a part of that Honor Flight. They have both passed along since then as well. I have fond memories of that day.

i meet him once too, he spoke at my commencement and when he walked up to shake my hand like an idiot i forgot and stuck out my right hand, pulled it back real fast and used the left

my parents were big supporters of bob dole, when guys like him were making the decisions you didn't have to worry about much

I'm going out on a limb here but I think it was when patriotism was confused with nationalism, and when "patriots"
attacked our capital.
I truly believe Senator Dole would tell you the same thing.
