Default Lowrance Ghost

Has anyone put a 60in model on a deep V style boat (Lund, Starcraft, alumacraft)? Was there enough shaft in the water?

I was going to put the 60" GHOST on my WX2200 I have on order. Key word "WAS"... I took into account the remote (that you have to buy extra) and the remote doesn't even do much for you. I use heading lock a ton and I know it has the feature but I am in and out of that mode and was used to doing it from the remote. They have something updated coming I believe so once that happens and if the remote is good enough I will make the switch.

Because of that reason I opted for the Ultrex. If Lowrance had a better remote I would buy one as they're a sweet trolling motor.

If they had a 72" shaft I'd be all in for my Tyee. Maybe the next iteration! Demand must not be great enough for the 72" version

I have a 60" Ghost on my 19' Tracker Targa Deep V. I had it come out of the water a few times in big rollers, but it was very manageable, and the lake was really really violent that day.

I have the Motorguide Xi5 60" on my Targa 18V, shaft is long enough for typical use but in rougher water, it will come out. But then again, in that kind of wave action, the waves likely overpower the electric troller and it's time to switch to the kicker.
