Default Western Nebraska 10.2.21

I had the opportunity to take Keith Walter's, a retired PWT out this weekend to a western Nebraska reservoir. We were slabbing in about 20 fow for Perch, eyes, and panfish. Keith caught and released this nice 9 lb 28" girl. The slabbing bite has started! It was cool to fish with someone who has a wealth of knowledge and is a dam good stick. Beautiful day and done in 3 hrs. Click image for larger version

Nothing huge and lots of dinks of course. But yes, Crappie and Perch, just sorted through what we wanted to keep to eat. We were catching Bluegill on 1/2 oz blade baits. No way they could ever get them in their mouths but they sure tried. LOL

The Walleye were all burping up young of the year gills and crappie, all about 1.5 inches long.
