Vexus DVX20 or DVX22

Has anyone here been on the water in one of the new Vexus DVX models? Everything I've researched online looks good, but I would like to hear from someone that has actually been in one on the water. Thanks!

Should be picking mine up in the next week. I impressed with everything that I have seen in pictures. I'm sure I won't be disappointed.

Very short time in the boat. Without having any expectations, I'll say the thing that left the most impressions for me was how fast the boat got up on plane. Felt really light on the water. That and the boat heavily reflects the designers roots with Ranger.

It left me with the impression that it was just a better Ranger, built with procedures that allow the boat / product to be more consistent, and improved with the procedures used to build the boat.

A friend of mine ran that boat. I can PM you his contact information, but understand he is a salesman that sells Vexus. So if you don't want the accounts of someone that has a vested interest in selling the brand, don't ask.

A very sharp boat. I really like it that you can have two large graphs at the helm without blocking forward vision. And no mounts needed.

Hard to tell by the pictures on website, but the cockpit doesn't look very big. Some guys like a large front deck, me, I'd rather have a large cockpit as I never fish 2 in the front anyways. It' s all about what you want in the boats interior. Good luck with the search, sure looks like a nice rig and comes from good lineage.

I finally picked up my DVX22 last Friday. I was able to get it out yesterday and today. It is unbelievable. The ride and performance is beyond what I expected. Feels light and fast in the water. Hit 63mph @6390rpm at about 4400' with about 48 gallons of fuel and I person. Prop is 22 bravo fs. I have a 22" bravo 1LT I'm going to try tomorrow. May have drop down in pitch.

Nice to finally some photos of a privately owned Vexus DVX.

Im trying to decide between a DVX-20 and DVX22...
or comparable ranger


The port rod storage and standard rear casting deck has me leaning towards the Vexus since I am a smallmouth fisherman.



The cockpit obviously has to be smaller to accomodate the extra space on the decks...so anxious to see a 20 footer in person to see if it is too small and need to go with the 22 foot.


For my wife and I the 20 foot would be fine...but we do a few big water trips each year with family so need to be able to fish 4 people. Just hard to justify another 15-20 grand for bigger boat and engine.


If you could please post some photos of the cockpit with all 4 seats in sometime....Vexus has not published any that I have seen.

Would like to see pictures of the step up into the front. Now that they raised the front by 3" how hard is it to access it? I have a mobility problem and steps are real hard on me.

Nice rig and thanks for posting the pictures. I see you have trim tabs on the transom. Do they interfere with the deployment of the transom ladder? Is that ladder actually usable at the launch site to help with getting in and out of the boat or is it more of an emergency use ladder while on the water? Did you use the trim tabs to help you get on plane? Can you tell that there is more storage under the deck compared to a similar Ranger with the raised deck? Sorry for all the questions. You are the first that I know of with one of their DVX series boats.

I currently have a 2007 Ranger 619 and was waiting to see if Vexus would come out with a boat in comparable size and features. It looks like they recently announced a 19 foot boat but its configured similar to a Ranger 1880.
