Default Ice fishing date

I just met a new girl online. I asked her if she wanted to go ice fishing and she said no way. I told her no fish no date. Have any of you ever gone icefishing with your old girlfriends and, if so, did they turn into your wife?

My wife went fishing (shore) when we’re dating. Got married, had kids. When kids got bigger bought a cheap boat and the whole family went fishing. One year we came into some unexpected money. I said to the wife that’s almost enough for a new fishing boat, she said we’re not doing anything Saturday. We go fishing frequently.

She might be a winner. At least she told you where she stands of ice fishing. One of my fishing buddies found a girl and their first three dates were open water fishing, bear hunting and deer hunting. He thought he found the girl of his dreams. As their courtship developed she went on a Canadian trip with him and deep sea fishing out of Mexico. Six months later they got engaged and got married a few months later. The wedding date was the end of her interest in fishing and hunting. 10 years later he was divorced and selling some of his equipment to settle up.

I'd rather have a woman tell me the truth up front.

p.s. He also had two kids he had pay child support for.

It's better that you find someone who has no interest in your hobbies. I love my wife but enjoy my time in the woods and on the water with my friends. I married a woman, not a fishing buddy. I know she appreciates her alone time and time doing her thing too. Too much of anything is not good. In fact I believe it says that in Gods Word.
