Thoughts between boats

I am currently looking at a few boats. None of them are near me so not sure I am going to go looking unless I am heading to possibly buy it.

Boat 1
2021 Polar Kraft 179 with 140 Suzuki
Terrova 80
2 Helix 7’s
$35,900

Boat 2
2020 Alumacraft Competitor 175
Same goodies as above boat
$36,900

Boat 3
2020 Alumacraft Competitor 185
Same goodies as above
$37,200

Alumacraft has 20 year hull warranty. Polar Kraft has lifetime hull warranty.

Is the 140 Suzuki enough for the Alumacraft 185?

Flip a quarter here or is there something I am missing here? I will have no dealer service so that is not part of the equation.

Me? It's your money. Also are all the boats equipped with the 140 Suzuki? If not you are back to apples and oranges.

Yes they all have 140 Suzuki motors. This is actually by chance and not design even though I am good with that.

Are you hauling 4 fat guys and 1,000 lbs of tackle? Just kidding. The Suzuki's are strong motors I think you would be fine. Whats the boat rated for?

Boat is rated for a 175.

It will be a fishing boat but also a boat to take the family out and tube or ski. Just don’t want to wish I had more when it is too late.

I like all three of those boats, but I noticed the PK is a year newer. Also, what brand of trailer is included with each? I know PK comes with a Trailmaster, but not sure about Alumacraft.

Buy a spare prop for those days. Get the 185, especially if the whole family is going out in it. Pitch down 1-2" for the spare prop, it will pull tunes and skiers fine. Prop change 2-3 minutes, no big deal, cheap, and you have a bigger boat.
