Default Humminbird onix sonar help

I have 2 Onix 8’s networked. The last few times I went out it would take quite sometime for the digital depth Readout to appear, but it would eventually show up. This last time I went out it did the same thing but after about an hour I lost all sonar readings, a blank screen and it didn’t come back all day. I tried all settings adjustments. Could it be the transducer?

Is this on your bow unit(if on your trolling motor it may be trying to find bottom while you are running between spots) Setting the max depth at a number just deeper than you will encounter should help that. The default setting is 1500' and can take a while to search back to how deep you are. Other than that there was an update last fall that has a fix for some sonar situations. Bob
Could be the transducer also.

Thanks Ozark Bob. It is the console unit. The bow unit is hooked up to an Ulterra, but that sonar stopped working last year. I just switched it to use the sonar from the transom. Which leads me to believe itís the transducer. But I am behind on my upgrades, Iíll do that and see what happens.
