Default Just a guess

I am thinking that bite is still 2 to 3 weeks or so away. Mid may I will start heading up there, from what I hear so far this year it has been a super tough bite on L&C.

x2 Up there for a day and a 1/2, seen fish on graph, they didn't want jig and minnow. But like I said, the sun was out, I was on the water. I enjoyed it.

Just like any other post / mid spawn lake you may be a little ahead of the curve here.

Generally the first structure down stream from the inlet on the lake will yield the recovering fish first.

On L&C this is historically around the mid 50 degree temps ... today's outlet temp per the Gavins **** report is 46. The west end should start producing with a number of days of the sun cooperating.

If that doesn't happen ... hit the chutes but be careful due to the increased silting ... guys get in trouble up there every year. The north shore by the Boy Scout camp can also be good this time of year.

Launch as far west as you can ... most likely midway.

I took the boat out on LC Saturday just to get the motor out (no fishing). The weather was absolutely awesome but there was only about six boats out. Most guys looked like they were fishing on the South Dakota side between the Marina and Gavins Point boat dock. You would think if the bite was on there would have been a lot more boats enjoying the weather.

I used to fish L&C and Morton used to fish it a lot. I would listen to Morton's advice.
