Default New Musky Glides

I have been making topwater poppers for musky for just over a year now. I decided to venture into the glide baits. I haven't seen any like this that are through wired with a 3 hook setup. Thes pics were from my first time out testing them. I think they will work. My new personal best on the tributaries as well.

Good looking bait. Has to feel great to catch a great fish on lure created first hand. Congrats.

Thanks, It feels pretty awesome! The only thing that feels better is when someone else catches one on your baits. I gave a few poppers to a co-worker for her brother who loves to fish musky. He took a few newbies out this summer and they caught their first muskies on my lures.

Nice looking bait. I caught my best, 48", on a bait which I made, so it certainly does give one a great feeling.

Great colors on the lure. (Musky great, too!)

Care to share what paint and color for the brownish gold on the lure?

Thanks,

That's just a transparent orange from createx applied over opaque white, then pearl white. There is some lime green into detailed moss green and some black for stripes and the back, around the eyes.

Thanks. I shoot Createx and might have an orange on the shelf. If it is the right one. Almost looks like it has a tiny bit of brown or even tinier dash of black. Might be the black stripes that make it look "deeper". Gotta try that combination later this winter. Some of their colors I like are called "Wicked".

Again, thanks.

I use wicked as well. I am still new at air brushing but wicked seems to be one step above createx. It's like buying a Silverado in "LT" or "LTZ". Either way all the colors look great after epoxy.
