Like2fish, the trim tabs do not interfere with the deployment of the ladder. The ladder is usable at anytime, the deployment is stainless button near the ladder. I don't need to use the trim tabs to get on plane, of course they help when you do use them. As for the storage under the front deck, they are huge. I'm 5'11 215lbs and I'm able to lie down have +18" in length to spare and close the lid on the port side. The rod locker has space underneath the rods and on the sides of the rides for tackle storage. All of the compartment are lighted. I believe that they have introduced a DVX19. These boats are incredible. Never drove anything that rides or handles like this.

Love the console with the big graphs flush mounted. About the only thing i would change is instead of rear handrails , I'd like tracks, but of course that's just my personal preference .

I'm planning to go to the Madison WI boat show to look at one and help decide between the DVX20 vs 22. Not sure which model they will have ...both would be nice but 20 footer is the one I want to see most.


My biggest issue is family trips to Minnesota and Green Bay ...75% of the time its just me and my wife...but on the family trips we have 4-5 people. So the extra space would be nice....but comes at a pretty big expense. Also getting close to retirement so dealing with a larger boat all the time is less appealing.


We cast for Walleye and Smallmouth most of the time so the multi species layout is ideal for us. Especially the high capacity port rod locker. We troll some so I definitely see the limitations of the cramped cockpit but for us the elevated deck space is more important. Ranger was smart to offer a wide open layout for the Trollers...but the Vexus layout for our fishing near perfect.



I plan to order one next fall for spring delivery...so have some time to decide. But in the meantime its driving me crazy.

Bkerr, thank you for posting all the photos and info! It really helps to hear from someone that actually owns one. I see they will have all 3 of the DVX models on display at the Minneapolis boat show in a couple of weeks. I can't wait to crawl through them!!

Not sure if this show is an option for you but it looks like there is going to be a Vexus dealer at the Lake County show next weekend.

Not sure of the exact dealer at the Madison Show. I emailed our Vexus Reginal Rep a few weeks ago and he confirmed that they would have DVX models at Northern Illinois, Madison, and Milwaukee shows. Our local dealer at the Lets Go Fishing show a few weeks ago at Collinsville Illinois only had a VX. I will probly order from our local rep next fall but want to see one in person and decide between 20-22ft.

I chose the Madison show because a bait painter I use will have a booth there so will give me a chance to meet him face to face. Not much farther than Northern Illinois show and probly easier traffic than Chicago.

Yeah you know the boat is huge when the 400hp engine doesn't look so big anymore.


I'm interested in seeing real world loaded numbers on the 22' with a 350 merc and the 20' with a 300. That would be my first choice for rigging. But I carry alot of tackle and know better than to go too low on hp so if they absolutely need the bigger engine then thats what I will go with.
