Default Illinios River

Has anyone been out the last few days?

Hey, those catching on jigs, are you putting grubs on with the minnows or just bare leadhead?

Thanks

I haven't been out since Sunday. I was adding a grub to mine..seemed to work a little better than just a plain jig.My partner played around with small twisters also and had some success. Stingers also wouldn't hurt on the light bite in between the more agressive periods.
most of our fish came in 22'-30'.
I'll be back out there tomorrow.
Good Luck!

Dennis

Thanks,

I'll be there Sunday in a green Lund 1900 with a big yami on the back. My son is chompin at the bit to wet a line, and so is dad.

Were you by the 39 Bridge or clam beds? Or somewere else alltogether?

Reel,
I fished the bridge area the last 4 times out.
It's still Jan. lol don't seem like it though.
I'd still look in the deeper holes for starters but with this warmer weather these fish may be moving just a little.
I'll be all over the river tomorrow.
Maybe I'll see you out there.

Just the one eye Dennis. Lots of bites, but it was like fishing for pesky perch. Didnt stay too long. Got home in time for the second Quarter of the football game.

How did you guys do?

Ron

We did about the same Ron...lots of small fish.
The bite got more agressive towards evening but still no big ones.
I'll wait till it snows again to go out :) (no bumper boats) lol

See ya on the River>>>

Dennis
