Default Ranger 692 vs taller bubbles

So last spring I bought a ranger 692 vs that only had 300 hours on it had been well taken care of, for my first boat. This fall I was headed down the lake on a 25 degree mourning and it didn't take long to figure out the bubbles are to short, that was a really cold ride, just wondering if I can find taller bubbles for this old of a boat? I think mine are 13.5" tall.

I have the taller bubbles on my 620VS. They measure 14" tall from the flat part of the dash up to the top of the windscreen.

I am seriously considering installing a set of these to help deflect the wind out of my face.

Thanks guys, I am thinking about replacing them because the plexi glass is starting to get the little cracks in them, which isn't a big deal just kind of a irritation. Love the bubbles never fished in a boat with them, a lot more room just need to be taller

Yep, those look like the ones I just installed. I had the short ones first and they were useless.

Just be aware that if you get taller windshields you are going to have to alter your cover. Not the end of the world, but something to think about.

Scandrews,
There is a much cheaper option that works well, even with no windshield:

https://www.amazon.com/Bell-Unisex-A...e+helmet&psc=1

Go fast, go slow, have the wind in your face and you are nice and toasty in your own warm environment.

Be safe

p.s.
Pretty much standard issue for the bass fishermen who fish the spring and fall tournaments down south where they will commonly run 100 miles or more to their favorite fishing spot at 80 mph.
i.e. full face helmets.

I have used full face helmets for years for this very issue. Snug and warm, no matter the wind, rain, snow, sleet or hail.

--
I have had to chuckle a bit when, over the years, my buddy and I would be wearing our full face helmets and warm weather gear when we would come screaming up on a fisherman who was obviously fishing illegally with too many rods, or some other infraction. Since they could not see our faces, they assumed that they were tagged and you should see them scramble to try to get rid of the evidence of their illegal fishing.

Rew the helmets might not be a bad idea, just use to a full wind shield to hide behind and thought taller bubbles would be nice. I am wondering why ranger doesn't put taller bubbles on the boats for this purpose it would keep a guy from needing to buy helmets and other stuff to put on the bubbles. That Minnesota guy you bring up a good point it's only money but how far does a guy go. Defiantone did you have to alter your tarp?
