Default Hog Hunting

Nothing to do with walleyes but people on this site always have good advice.
Looking to do a southern hog hunt with option for unlimited hogs..wondering if anyone here has any recommendations for a reasonably priced hunt with options for a lot of action?

How far are you willing to drive. We hunt them in Texas about 2.5 hrs. west of Dallas. PM if you want details.

I've had good luck at Pennington Hunt Club near Sulphur OK. 2 pigs are covered by the original fee then you can pay extra for additional ones.

I won a Hog hunt in OK at a DU banquet. All I had to do was get there. Turned out it was a High Fence operation with about 300 hogs in the 40acre pen. Not much fun when all you had to do was sit along the fenceline and wait for a group to wander by. Ended up costing me about $600 in gas, hotel rooms and food. The most expensive pork sausage I have ever eaten! and it was not good.

I've done both high fence (Oklahoma) and free range (Texas).

Personally, the high fence was a better hunt. But I'm sure that isn't always the case.

High fence is not hunting, it shooting at a caged animal. I shot my 1 and left within 1.5hrs. Not much sport in it. felt bad about the experience all the way home.

Definitely not looking for fenced hunt - wouldn't waste my time or money on that.

Default Super-Pigs

https://www.foxnews.com/science/risi...experts-report

Ironically, there was a good article on feral hogs yesterday!! They talk about 1.5 million hogs in Texas that could explode to 7 million in no time! They are now established in 39 states...there was scuttlebutt about feral hogs in Southwestern Wisconsin several years ago, but there has been no updates since. I guess that is probably because of the nature of the farmers/people in that area!!

Some Texas ranches have a feeding area with automated feed dispensers, the story I heard involved night shooting with lights positioned such when the lights were turned on, the shooting began. It does seem that the pigs are causing harm in many areas and do need to be thinned down.

I’ve hunted in Alabama with www.langfordfarms.com. I’ve deer hunted this farm and seen hogs, they have lots of them.
