Default spider spray

For us folks that leave their boats on shore stations when not in use what is best spider spray to use to keep little web spinning creatures out of your boat? 5 days away from my boat I can hardly find the steering wheel for all the webs!

Default Maybe?

I use Ortho Home Defense MAX around our seasonal RV. It seems to help significantly slow down the web process. I won't say it completely eliminates it, but it works well enough that I have been using it for 3-4 years now. This stuff states that it can be used indoors also. I have only used it around the outside.

Spiders are your best friend.
They catch all of the mosquitoes, flies and other creatures.

A web here or there or everywhere is a small price to pay for the great work that they do to minimize worse creatures in your life.

A good vacuum cleaner quickly takes care of the webs that you may encounter.

If at all possible, I never bother spiders around here. From my point of view, I think that they do much more good than harm.

Be safe

Tempo SC Ultra insecticide is the only thing that I will use. It's about $50 for a small bottle, mix a little with water in a hand/pump sprayer and knock them out. Between lots of pine trees and log siding, spiders are enough to drive me mad without Tempo SC...

Good for indoor use as it is scent free. The best for boats on lifts!

Tempo is great stuff I use it around buildings, and in grassy areas but...... It is highly toxic to fish. I would NOT use it on a boat lift or near the water.

Default synthetic pyrethroid

Bayer Suspend polyzone

I use a small misting sprayer from Solo. The one with the hand pump on the top.

The safe ones I have tried were not effective. I think a clearing in the morning before the wife gets to see it. My boat lives in a marina I replace the cover every couple years and have gotten accustomed to all the black spots on it.
Spiders and water are pretty much they way it is. Poisoning everything in the area is at best a short term spider cure. JMHO Bob
