Drotto Boat LAunch System

Help me understand how that would help a single fisherman load and unload by himself with no dock to step onto, or the ability to walk the tongue to dry land?

Put one on this spring and it works great. I fish by myself with a roller trailer and I just motor onto the trailer and it hooks me up.

How strong are the fingers? Is it set up so you can back in, hook the boat in it, pull it out of the landing and into the parking lot?

I always hooked the safety chain on before I pulled away just to be safe. I didn't want to be the guy on Youtube with his boat laying in the parking lot.

But isn't that the point? If you have to hook the safety chain, then you might as well reach over and crank it up, not?

I didn't buy it to drive around without having the boat secured. I guess you could do that but I didn't want to take the chance. What I had to do before the Drotto with a roller trailer is to keep the motor pushing the boat into the trailer while I run up and lean over the bow and hook up the winch. If I backed off the throttle it would roll back into the water. I use to not mind leaning over the bow but with the launch police going after power loading people I figured the Drotto would help and it did.

Murphys Law is always lurking around boat launches. I agree on the blabber-tube comment.
