Default Backing up your trailer at the boat ramp

How many of you have switched from the old tried and true method of steering using the rear view mirrors as opposed to using the video screen in your dash?

It will always be mirrors for me. I see much more real-estate using my mirrors than what the camera sees.

For those times that I don't have a trailer behind, I'll use both the camera and my mirrors.

Mirrors. Camera to connect to trailer and then just plain old mirrors when vehicle and trailer are in motion together.

As i've told my wife. If the Lord didn't intend for you to use them he wouldn't have directed the automakers to install them.

90% of the time, neither. Most ramps around here are single docks on the driver's side of the truck. I crack the driver's door open and look right at the boat and dock. Honestly, I hate using morrors. I'll rather wait for a dock to open on the driver's side, if possible. In the rare case that the dock is on the passenger side, I use mirrors. At most ramps, I can see pretty good with the camera if I wanted to use that, but I'm still trying to get comfortable using mirrors. lol Miss using my SUV with the big giant wide open back and side window view. I didn't even have to crack the door or use mirrors with that.

On a side note, LOVE the camera for hooking up to the trailer! The truck I got last year was the first tow vehicle I've had with one. Being able to zoom in on the ball and hitch, I haven't missed once yet or had to get out of the truck to check if they were lined up.

Mirrors. Can't see anything but the front of the boat through the camera (can't even see the tires). Usually I pick the mirror closest to the dock I'm putting in at and just use that one.

Mirrors - truck doesn't have cameras. After using mirrors for 45 years, I'm not sure I'd like cameras anyway.
