Angry Piscifun Support

I bought a couple of Piscifun spinning reels last fall. They seemed to be good reels, but my opinion changed after I needed replacement parts. Their website didn't (doesn't?) provide for obtaining new drag knob/washers and only support was from China via a couple of e-mails. In January, after being advised by e-mail that they would not be able to get back to me until after Chinese New Year - they never did get back to me. After intervening world events I'm through with Chinese companies as much as possible. I doubt I'll ever get replacement partsl.

Here we are told to sit on our hineys, hunkered down in place, with the country shut down due to CoVid-19 and we are considering purchasing and supporting merchandise from China. Not meant as a rant, just an observation. Not saying that they do not make quality merchandise, but....

There are not many reels built in the USA besides some high end fly reels about the only one is Penn, so what choice is there.

I bought quite a few Shimano Sienna reels . Not knowing what they been doing with this model in recent years.
I`m always open to know of a good budget brand reel.
The $30 dollar range I view as a throw away reel. By the time you pay for parts you`re into the cost of a new reel.

Shimano reels for the most part are made in Malaysia.
