Painting spinner blades

Does anyone paint there own and what has worked well for you. Show some pictures.
This weather is giving me the itch to get the powder paint warmed up. I do buy some painted ones like "pink panties" and "fire tiger". If I paint some that don't produce I sand them off and repaint them. I never use blades under #5 in Lake Erie and if I'm running a 6 rod spread or more, I will toss into the mix one #7 or #8 blade to get some extra thump.

Are you kidding me, you want me to post pictures of the blades I paint after seeing yours? They look great. If you are using powder paint are you using an airbrush? I powder paint mine but only use 2 colors and sprinkle the paint on with a brush. I also use powder paint with a lot of glitter which I understand doesn't work well with an airbrush. Wouldn't mind using an airbrush but just not set up for it since I do everything in the basement and would have to set up some sort of elaborate venting system.

Not trying to brag, I'm interested in what colours work for others. It took some trial and error and yes I do use an air brush. I found to get the best results is to apply a white base coat first. This seems to make the colours much more vibrant and shiny. An exhaust fan is important too. I took a furnace filter and built a plywood box to fit it and rig up and electric fan for the suction from the rear. works pretty good. I collect and save the powder paint from the filter, the combinations of colours make for some interesting jig head colours.

i recently started painting and selling some harnesses and blades ive done, also doing my own deep bandits, smithwicks, etc if fun and become an obsession lol
