bb, It's been a month since this started. Getting down to basics is needed and start fresh. Like Reddog said unplug all "Y" cables and see what you have for a problem. If the left side has no return, put the other SI transducer on and if it also has no left side your unit is either bad or something is messed up in software or setup. Tell HB what you have found out and they can fix it. Bob

bb, I have a 219 with the same step as you have. My transducer is mounted exactly in the same place as the picture you posted...under the step and in the center. The reason I put it there is a friend who is on his 5th 219 reccommended I put it there as that is where his dealer has installed it on all 5 of his boats. It works great with no interference up to about 7mph. I also have a aluminum tiller with the transducer mounted 15" to the side of the motor as reccommended by HB and it works great also but up to 37mph....fastest I can go. I noticed it read at that speed this summer when I was pulling my grandkids on a tube and saw the locator was on SI. Pretty cool as I saw some cribs. Later I went back and putted around and marked 12 of them. That was 4th of July week. This past Saturday I went back to the cribs and caught 9 eyes including a 25"& 26". I have had property on the lake for 29 years and did not know the cribs were there until my "tubing expedidition". I have also marked some cribs on a flowage after seeing them at speed and turning back to investigate and mark...Pretty incredible stuff we have to help us fish these days....PS if you move the ducer below the step make sure you counter sink the holes as that gel likes to flake!!

I had the same thing happen to me and my screen looed exactly like yours. My transducer was mounted to the right of my motor. The dealer installed a wrong cable... If it doesnt get clear when you raise the motor, check to make sure the cable (s) is right. they corrected

My motor still blocks it when its all the way down but I dont use SI when going faster than 5 to 10 mph so I just trim up some and its fine.

Attached is a pic of what my screen looked like.

I have the same issue. First they told me raise the engine, still no good, next, new transducer still no good, so I added a left right transducer and still no good. Now they sent me the identical Y cable but not been able to water test it as yet.

Humminbird seems to have some issues. I saw another thread about 360 and that was an adventure of nonsense also. I had great images once but thereafter never again and they even changed the unit. Just a washed out screen. I think they have software issues because the head units (Helix 10 G2) does weird things from time to time.

Any other feedback would be helpful.

Finally got on the water for the first time this year and here is all I did.

Plugged the newly installed SI transducer into the Y no change
Eliminate the Y and plugged the transducers in one at a time still no change.

Adjusted sensitivity and contrast and now I get images on the left side however it is just the water depth contour and a scrolling band of whatever the color pallet selected is however no details. I could clearly see old piers and things like that in the water on the right side no matter what combination of cables and traducers but when I turn the boat around and pass again no details on the left side.

Fish finder networked to another unit and that displayed same images.

I am at a loss.

You may not be alone with this problem.

Check other BBC Humminbird forum posts.

Found this one but I seem to remember a recent post where the unit was sent in and repair was a faulty circuit board.
Can't find that post at this time.

It may have been this post I was thinking of.

This is all I can get after adjusting sensitivity and contrast but when I turn boat around and go over structures again I don't see any change on the left side. Only thing that changes is depth contour no detail

I am sure this has nothing to to with the problem But what is the down arrow in the box on the upper left of the left SI view? I could not find it in the manual. Bob
