price on a deer mount?
My fishing buddy passed away 1.5 years ago..........
His wife wants to sell his deer. Nice 8-pointer, in the 120 to 130 range. What would you put on a deer mount? I have no idea. I am thinking of people that use the antlers for art.

Somewhere between 0 and $100,000 depending on the sentimental and artistic value.

If legal to sell i wouldnt think very much, deer in the 120-130 are a dime a dozen, 180-200 might be worth some big coin,

Would she consider donating it to a museum of some sort?

imo it isn't worth anything unless you or someone in your family are the one who shot it.

I bought a 10 pointer at a yard sale for $20. I don't know what it scored, but it was nice. I gave it to a buddy of mine to hang in his cabin.

I'm with erik and hunter. Pretty common sized deer, likely worth a lot more to family than to a stranger.
Personally, I wouldn't want it, more for the second reason. Perhaps the DNR would have a use for it? |

Check Craigslist.
I just checked our local CL and found about half dozen priced anywhere from $50 for the small ones to $200+/- for the larger ones. |

You could try contacting some twin cities home decorators. People buy all sorts of wallhanging for their homes.
