Why would I care if they are still making them or not since I already have my Great Running E-TEC...........but you know what.........WTH do you care if they make them or not.........maybe you're jealous because you are stuck with your LOUD SMOKING Opti............. Sucks To Be You ! ! !

All I can say is "It was a sad day when I read the BRP / Evinrude news". I am very happy with all three of the E-TEC outboards I've owned.

My buddy loved his etec until it blew up. had power head replaced for 2 seasons then she locked up again. 225 hp

Huh, sounds like a lot of Merc Opti I have seen/heard about blowing up.......135 hp seem to be the worse.

Bobby you are 100% correct, nor will I ever own one. To be honest im not a 2 stroke fan at all after being around a 4 stroke for 18 years. Upgraded boat that was equipped with a opti, next ranger will be vrod,sho max, or Suzuki.
