Default Leech Lake report and tactics for next week?

Hi all,

I'm hitting Leech for a few days at the end of next week. It sounds like it's still going to be a fairly warm with highs in the 70's. Historically we haven't fished walleye's during the day when the weather and lake temps are still in the warm summer patterns. We fish them in the evening and after dark when they move up into the shallows. After my experience on a recent trip to Red Lake, I'm nervous about how the drought has impacted the lake depth and the potential for the lake to be vastly different than what I'm used to. Is the lake down significantly? Any fishing reports, tips, and advice?

Yes the lake is down allot. Haven’t been fishing due to either the heat and calm seas then nasty winds, then cold front. Our 8 slip harbor is just about impassable....at least 1’ lower than normal august levels.
