The 20ft glass boats have evolved over the last decade and have given some priority to rough water handling and ride over flat out speed. A friend of mine had a 2012 620 with a 250 that was faster than his 2020 620 with a 300.

If you want to get max speed from 250hp, get a bass boat.

My buddy has a 2013 Ranger with a 250 Yammy 4-stoke with a kicker. And I know with my fat *** in the boat he won't get up to 60. We're always loaded down with gear and usually a couple more people. I have a 225 Vmax on an 03 Ranger, I can get 48 on a perfect day.

I have a Warrior and it's not going to be a Warrior. I run a Suzuki 250 that I LOVE but it gets 50 on the nose. I will take boat handling of waves any day of the week over speed. I did do a test run with a Ranger 620 two years ago and was impressed. It ran like a scalded cat! Good Luck figuring it out

If you want to go fast, put that 250 hp motor on a nice 20 foot bass boat and you will be typically running in the high 70s .

I would gladly give up speed and have a boat that excels in the rough stuff. Just my 2 cents

well the fishing sucks more often than it is rough where im from.... So it looks like Yarcraft and triton have the fastest. But does anyone actually own one of these boats that can give numbers?

I have a 2013 1860 atm that i can get to 47mph, I screwed up and passed on a ranger 522D with a 300hp a few months ago. Kinda wish i pulled the trigger. A 60-65 walleye boat would make my panties wet lol....

We’ll, I have ran three yarcraft’s and know of several others.

2000 1895 Storm SC with a 2006 Merc 225 Optimax would run 58’-60 mph with a DAH worked 21 Tempest plus

2013 Yarcraft 186 FX with a 2013 200 Merc Optimax would run the same at 58-60 mph with the same DAH worked 21P Tempest Plus.

2018 Yarcraft 219TFX with a Merc 350 Verado runs 64-67 mph with a Croxtox worked 22.5P Bravo FS.

I know of a couple 2012-2014 209TFXs with 300 Verado’s that are near the mid 60s. Somewhere around 2015 or so Yarcraft added a little more hook to settle the front which slowed them a touch, not that they’re slow but from what I’ve heard new ones with the V8 300 Pro XS’s are running lower 60s.
