Default 22 Remington Long ammo

Was it a year or two or maybe even three you couldn't get your hands on Remington 22 ammo ( not that I could find anyway) and now the market is flooded with it. They sell in buckets for cripes sake ??? What happened ?

It’s been more than three years. It was during the last administration and after one of the shootings (Sandy Hook I think). The worry was that new regulations were coming. And not that they would effect 22’s, but other larger rounds (223). People stock piled, and the manufacturing switched production.

It was tough there for a while because of hoarders and other issues, but 22LR has been back in plentiful stock for at least 5 years, maybe 6. Remington's problem was the recall on their 22LR ammo. Bullets weren't crimped properly and jamming and folding in half in the chamber. I got some for a present and it constantly jammed my MP15-22 in scary ways! I'll never use that junk again. CCI or nothing!
