Default HDS 9 Live help

I just installed my new HDS 9 Live unit and transducer. When I set the system up and then went for a ride, I lost bottom and the sonar depth reading after I got above 30 mph. I hope I installed the transducer correctly. If so, is there some settings that I missed that would allow me to be able to see the proper depth when going at higher speeds? I appreciate anyone's help. See attached pictures, and thanks

I would add an additional 2d transducer, maybe mount it a little lower and use that for running on plane.

Per your pics, you'll need to lower the transducer substantially to retain a bottom lock while on plane with the AI 3-in-1.

I would start out by tipping the rear of the transducer down toward the water slightly. If that does not work, start to lower the whole transducer on the transom.

Hawker is correct. The 3 in 1 is designed a little differently and should run a little lower.

X3! I thought I had mine set exactly by the manual and various Lowrance videos, and had to go lower. Yours is up significantly from where mine started. Your transom edge is making turbulents that cause issues. You need to get the transducer at least partially below the transom lip.

They are not high speed transducers, that being said they can be tweaked to read up to 25MPh.

That's why i mentioned to add an additional 2d transducer for depth on plane then switch to 3 in 1 when you're doing everything else. Ive had my hst-wsbl give depth and show bottom when i was doing 60 mph in my old fish and ski, pretty economical and easy solution.

Yes that is what I've read and have been told, I have the 3n1.

I just added a TM 150 that needs tweaking and it should read wot.

That's a nice, big chirp transducer, you should enjoy it. Almost went that way myself but i fish in water under 20ft deep too so i went with an HDI, couldn't be happier- beautiful 2d, and ability to chirp too, not as well as the tm 150 as that's a true chirp ducer after all. Good luck
