Winterkill probably is the wrong term. Loss due to not enough food is probably a better way of putting it. Didn't Oahe lose a lot of the big fish during the winter before ?

A lot of reports over the winter about fish coming in very fat and healthy.
Forage base seems to have rebounded.

Is there going to be anywhere to get on open water up that way next weekend? Looks like a good week of weather coming up.

I have also heard that all fish coming through the ice have been very full.
