Default Mounting an Active Imaging 3 in 1 transducer

Hey, I was wondering if the Active Imaging 3 in 1 transducer can be used at planing speeds and how far below the bottom of transom can I mount it.

It works surprisingly well for me all the way up to speeds of 50+ mph.

I’ve got mine mounted fairly high, but there is probably about 1/2” or so in the water when running on plane.

I’ve found the key is to tilt it slightly tilted up at the back to match the angle your boat is running on plane or sitting in the water.

I just Tried it out yesterday. It worked well at around 40 mph. I have it mounted between 1/4” below bottom of hull in front and 1/2” below in back, angled at the same angle as waterline.

I'm kinda confused by your description of how you have it mounted. If it's parallel with the waterline, you should be good, but the way you've described it sounds opposite of that to me.

1/2" below right at the transom, and a 1/4" below at the back end of the transducer furthest from the transom so it's "trimmed up" should be pretty close if that's where you're at. If you're opposite of that, try reversing it, you should get even better results with much less drag.
