Did you try to rollback with a previous software version? Seems odd it all the sudden goes bad after an update, sometimes updates corrupt, wouldn't matter how many hard resets you do if firmware is corrupted.

Did you also try a different transducer? From this last case here with the OP you can see theset a transducer coupled go bad.

I'd be leaning towards corrupted update though. Guess it doesn't matter know really but maybe for future reference.
