Whats the deepest?

I was talking to guy at at work that claimed he has caught walleye in a 100fow. I'm not talking suspended over 100 ft either. He was talking the fish was 100 ft deep during the open water season. This is the first I have heard of walleyes being this deep and it got me wondering what the deepest water you guys have caught walleyes from?

I've caught them on bottom 75' down on a number of occassions fishing Erie.

I have caught them in 65'+ on Rainy Lake several times.

My buddy caught one 90 ft down on a down rigger in lake huron.

Around 100', when I hit the bottom while downrigging for salmon. Yes, walleye do hit flasher/squid combinations.

On Lake Oahe I marked fish at 90 feet, on the bottom, I fished for them and they were small walleyes. Of course, bringing them up from that depth proved fatal to them. Consequently I got off them and looked elsewhere.

Over 60ft on down riggers with husky jerks on Namikan. Stopped fishing them as they were slot fish and it was evident that the only result was going to be a dead fish I could not keep anyway. Pulled the riggers.

We used to fish in 120 feet in February and March at Lake Roosevelt in Washington using 3/4 oz. jigs. As stated previously, you hade to keep most of the fish as it was fatal so we quite fishing this way but I see people out in those deep holes every spring.

I used to catch them near Kettle Falls, WA ...in Roosevelt Lake, as deep as 105' of water -vertical jigging in late February.

Now...I haven't tried that for years.

On Erie east basin it is common in late summer to see walleye 75+. I've taken them off riggers 110' down over 140' looking for lakers off the mountain near the NY/PA border. 10 colors lead core with a 4 oz snap weight is a common walleye set up at this time of year here.
