Dealer will likely make 10-15 grand on the boat so to try and get 2000-3000 off wouldn't be unreasonable. If the boat is 60 K offer them 57 K if they say no leave your name and number and tell them your going to look at other dealers and call you if they ever decide on 57 k. Next year if that boat dont sell it will be on sale for likely 52 anyway. You can always go back at anytime and give them 60. But im sure they will start to negotiate with you as long as you dont low ball them.

When i bought my boat i got them down $2000 on the boat plus an ipilot for the trolling motor since it didnt have it so about 2400 in total.

Or tell them 60 K but that includes 2 graphs which they will get at cost anyway and we all know the mark up on electronics is huge.

To the OP: Give Boat Doc a call. They will give you a real fair price. If it's competitive, then you have peace of mind.

I was dead serious...the poster said he saw (seen actually) fully rigged 620's for the same price...which was under 60k. I will take a half dozen at that price and pay the commission for a finders fee as quoted. Throwing out a bunch of false or inaccurate info on pricing does nothing to help a prospective buyer make a good decision on a transaction...that is the point. That said if someone comes up with a bunch of current model 620's fully rigged as quoted I'll take em.

A dealer will make 10-15 grand on a $60,000 boat, that is the funniest thing I have heard all year.

Was just at our boat show and seen many many boats marked down 8-10 grand. So what the dealer is just willing to loose money not a chance. Right now they are offering 4-5 grand off boats that are 30-40 thousand dollars.

This is the internet. The majority of the people who buy a boat always get the deal of the century where the dealer sells it below their cost.
Seriously, try not to ask others on a forum what they paid for something because mostly you will get BS. Shop around with 3-4 dealers if you can and your own research will tell you if the price is good or not. The one interesting thing I have found over the years is if you ask the person who got the best "deal" to scan and email you a copy of the sales agreement they always decline.

I'd put my invoice right here for people to see if that is what you need to believe.

I agree. When I first read that I laughed out loud. Things must be WAY different in his neck of the woods or they have no competition anywhere near them. 25% margin would be sweet! In our area I think most dealers would be very, very pleased with 1/2 that or even a little less on a $60,000 boat. Lots of competition here.

I didn't see that you even started the thread or anyone questioned you about what you paid. But as far as that goes I can post mine as well.

You've stated before that you bought your boat out of market in the off season. Your deal is probably an anomaly compared to what most people can realistically expect.
