Default Props for Yamaha 250 Offshore

I looking to buy a another prop for my 2013 Ranger 620 with a 250 Offshore. The boat is loaded 9.9 kicker, 101 Terrova w/I-Pilot, 4 group 31 batteries. I looking for some input for others who have the similar setups and what prop you are running and how the performance is with your prop. Thanks for your input.

I am Running a 22p Bravo 1 on a 2008 620. I run up to 54 tourney loaded with full tank of gas. I also have a edge hydrofoil. I typically get 50 to 51mph out of it but when conditions are right I get 54. Talk to Ricky at Brainerd Prop he can set you up with a demo to try out on your rig. Altitude here in Nebraska can play a big part on how your boat will run also. The boat also has 10 times the stability with the 4 blade as opposed to the tempest 21 I was running. Hope things work out for ya

Default suggest bravo II

I run a 22P Bravo II FS on my 300 OS / 209 Yarcraft combo and have no need to try anything else, very happy. I turn 5900 rpm and get 59-61 mph depending on load, 1500ft elevation. I run solid plugs - no holes. My suggestion for you, based on similar to similar would be a 20P bravo II FS. IMHO, don't mess with the Bravo XS on the Yam OS motor. The OS pulls stumps...

A 22p Bravo run a lot like a 21p due to different cupping. To get the proper RPM's and for a better hole shot the 22 Bravo l or ll will be the better choice. I tested 6 or more different props using plugged, vented and all different sizes of vent holes. If you want to try if for yourself be my guest, Ricky's the man I would talk to him. Rangers run very different than Lunds apples to Oranges.

Maybe that why rick steered me towards a 21p Saltwater series. No hydrofoil needed and run 54.8gps

Maybe, Once again different boats! I dont need a hydrofoil either I choose to run one for multiple reasons. Next is with a fully loaded 620 with full livewell at this altitude they struggle getting out of the hole with motor struggling to get over 3500RPM, and only running 5600RPMs at full throttle. Now that is the reason I went with a Bravo 22p it runs 200 more RPMs than the 21 tempest it runs better all the way around. Ricky will get you the right prop for your boat, but IMO the 22p bravo is a better choice.... for me and most other Ranger Yami owners. There is thread after thread to read about if one would like.
