WiFi Thermostat

My power company was selling wifi thermostats early this heating season. We have Xcel Energy. Also we used to have it as a feature on our security system. That worked great. When we switch plans we didn't opt for that feature....my neighbors go to Florida for the winter and the have something hooked into their phone line that calls them when it gets below 50 degrees in the home. They can also call their home phone from their place down south ,punch in a code & hear a recording that tells them the current temp in the home up here.

What they are using is called a SENSAPHONE
