year round
I like to think of my fishing habit as year round rather than 4 seasons.
Dec 1 hopefully to early April ice fishing. FL fish if traveling south during the winter. April is prime laker in shallows. Cod/Haddock fish in May North Atlantic, May, June pike, walleye, July/Aug bass, Sept/Oct everything comes alive as water cools. Nov can be tough but often go out Pollack fishing in North Atlantic, hope for early ice. Spring, summer throw in a fly in Ontario, this year Alaska. |

Definitely
I fish hard whenever possible. Both ice and open water, but prefer open water of course. I'm excited for the early ice season here... it's pretty much one of the best chances you have to catch a walleye in the teens.
I'm also young (22) so I don't mind going out in -30 chasing big walleyes. I've already froze my hands a couple times though, so I'm not sure how long that's going to be a thing for! Cheers, RJR |

I fish year round. Love my ice hut, Clam gear and a heater. Poor Eyes never have a chance to rest. Lol

Lots of jokes so I will jump in. But it is completely true.
I fish all four Seasons. Spring, Summer, Fall and Florida. |

We are pretty fortunate in North Georgia to be able to fish all year long. Like Mojo so eloquently shared, there is no telling which season it might be you are fishing but one thing is for sure, you will know when the "****'s front porch" season rolls around! If you fish the right day, you can catch fish that are already cooked! Ha!

I fish all 4 seasons in South Dakota, open water and ice. I have had my boat in the water every month of the year, was on the Missouri last week and did well.

i don't hardly fish in the summer. starting with winter, we are on the ice as much as possible. then in the spring we hit the walleye hard, with kids, summer if typically for them and their interests and then fall comes and outside of goose hunting into the winter, we are walleye fishing.

I do fish year round. Wife will not let me ice fish. Any place I can find open water I can go. Not real hard to find open water when most of the Midwest is frozen up. Head below dams, take off for a long weekend to southern Kansas (which doesn't freeze up for to long) or just hang out on the Missouri river. Once in awhile there is a serious freeze ........ but after a couple of weeks I am good to go for the rest of the Year. Joe
