Default Prop rubbing

I am converting from a High 5 to a Raker prop. However, when I slide the raker all the way on it rubs on the housing and when I tighten the nut down there is alot of friction. I took 3 washers and butt them up against the Spacer to get some clearance. This left me with about a 1/4 inch of splined shaft sticking out past the prop where another washer is installed, before the nut. Is this right or is their a better way to do this?

Did the thick brass spacer stick to the back of the High five?

No, it did not. It was still on the shaft.

Default Need different thrust washer

You need a special thrust washer for a raker prop. One that is made just for a raker. The high 5 washer isn't thick enough. Go to you local dealer to pick one up or sometimes if you go to www.marineengine.com they have good prices.
