Default *info needed* Yamaha f150 TILLER

In the works of re-powering my rig. Boat is a tiller rig, and the motor I was gonna purchase is a 2013 Yamaha f150. Right before the deal was made I had the salesman double check that the handle they said was gonna fit it worked. Called me back and said that the handle won't work. The handle is the handle that will work on the f115. Now I know there's not a whole bunch of 150 yammy tillers where I'm from but there not uncommon and have seen several in the past. My question is, can you make a 2013 f150 a tiller, or is this a older f150 thing. And if you can any info on how would be appreciated. Ie: adapter plates. Thanks

The F115 tiller handle bolts to the old Merten's system however I don't believe it will work bolting it straight to the motor. The only other thing I can think of is that there are two F115 tiller handles. 6X4-42102-01-00 handles everything except the "B" model F115's and 6X4-42102-C0-00 is for the "B" models. I am not sure what the mounting difference is but I doubt either will mount to a F150 since Yamaha doesn't want you to do it in the first place.

Yeah, but keep in mind, I think it was 2009 that Skeeter had a 150hp rating on the WX2000T hull, so somebody had the brackets figured out.

There isn't an F150 handle. You have to make an F115 handle work. Commercial fishing and jet guys do it all of the time.
