What do you look for when tring to get a cover?

Do you have any recommendations?

I have a Truxedo and it's been OK, but I think the Access covers are a bit nicer cover yet(link below). The biggest things are how it seals up and the latch system. I've also seen better luck where the side rails are on an 45 degree angle rather than 90 degrees, the velcro seems to stay attached better. Look at the latch system and make sure it's built to last. Mine on my 4 year old Truxedo TruxSport worked just fine for a very short period of time, but then started to bind and it was impossible to open without prying on the latch with a screwdriver.. They have since replaced my side rails and so far so good on the new ones, but I still don't like the design of the latch.

I've had the Access, now have the Truxedo. They are both fine, but I prefer the Access cover.

I've had a Truxedo for 2 years now and the spring loaded latch let go a couple of times. Replaced the spring with a stronger spring and added some grease to the latch for easier operation plus rain water pools up and sags in the middle but still going strong. You get what you pay for. :driver:

If water pools and the cover sags you don't have the tension set right.

3rd year with a Truxedo and it has been very good. Still looks new, and the latch and velcro-no problems.

I've had both the access and truxedo. If I were to buy another it would be the access.
