I’m working on a hanging a 2007 60hp 4cylinder 4 stroke for a friend. Nothing is labeled and I have everything hooked up but cannot figure out where the main hot wire from the battery goes on the engine. Can anyone give me any help or possible a picture? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Here is a you tube video on replacing a solenoid on a 50 hp mercury outboard.
I believe that the 60hp engine is very similar to the 50 hp engine. Check the video at time stamp 3:30. At this point, the fellow is checking for the presence of +12 volts main power under the Red cover on the side of the engine. This is the location where the + side of the Main battery is connected to this motor. Check your motor for a similar look and its battery connection: i.e. it will be on the port side of the engine - roughly midway between top and bottom of the engine. https://www.lowrance.com/ghost-trolling-motor/ |
