This time of year the shad are heading to the backs of coves for the warmer water. Shad is pretty much what is on the menu most of the time for everything that swims here. Very little pressure in winter. Mostly old retired guys who have become fair weather fishermen.(like me) and have enough to last the winter already. 18" minimum. I had a streak of 2 years without catching a short fish but I don't use bait. It has not frozen in the bottom half of the lake since I moved here(2005). Maybe right at the water line on the shore. Bob

Default Arkansas walleye

Many great walleye lakes - Greers Ferry (more 20+ fish from here than anywhere in North America. Bull Shoals, Beaver,, Lake Catherrine, Ouachita, Norfolk, Also several excellent rivers - Spring River, Saline River.

So you are saying more 20" fish from Greers Ferry than Lake Erie??
I'm sorry, and I apologize if I'm wrong, but I don't believe that.
