there are now 8 sights of the world to see. there were seven then they added Yamaha outboards. they are at worst as good as any motors and at best they just might be the best of the best. if I was buying a new 150 it would be a Yammy or a Suzy.

Properly maintained, a new F150 would probably last longer than the humans using it. Outstanding product.

Yamaha is the new Honda of reliability. Not taking anything away from Honda but as far as small engines go, yamaha is at the top of the food chain! I certainly wouldn't shy away from any boat with a yamaha unless you absolutely don't have a dealer near you. They are darn near bullet proof but sometimes you do need service that may not be able to be done at home.

With any of the newer motors with fuel injectors, it is important to feed the engine clean fuel.
So, be sure to have a sub micron large fuel filter and water separator in line with the tank to engine fuel line to insure a clean supply of fuel to the engine and its injectors.

The use of the sub micron fuel filter would save you a bunch of money by having to service the injectors which will costs $$$$$ .

Best wishes
