Default 2006 mercury optimax water in cowling

I ran motor on muffs and found water coming into the cowling from a hose inside the cowling. Attached are pictures of the hose and what I think where it might connect to but I can not find the hose or connection in the parts diagram. Has anyone else had this issue or have an idea?

The motor is a 2006 mercury 90 Optimax.

Will,
Call your local Mercury dealer and ask to speak to service and ask them about the issue.

Take care

The connector on my flushing hose (under the cowling) came off, check all connections on that hose, I could never get that hose to flush without leaking, so I just use the "ear-muffs" when running the boat out of the water.

It appears that it may be the hose which goes to the Telltale outlet. Is the hose about 6 1/2 inches in length? If so, it also appears the fitting itself is broken. Hard to tell from the photos.

I thought the fush hose connection under opti cowling is for flush not running motor, but don't have manual or motor anymore.

This is correct do not run the motor off of the flushing plug.
