After all these years and all the people that have traveled thru the forests on this planet I do not believe that some unknown human type species exists living undiscovered deep in our forests. Everybody has a camera phone and not one creditable picture exists. Rates right up there with the aliens that have been visiting this planet for centuries but only beam a occasional person aboard there high tech saucers, anal probe them and then send them home. This kind of nonsense is the real fake news.

You realize that most humans almost never travel more than a mile from a road, right? Even in the U.S. there are huge tracts of land with zero human footprints on them. I don't rule out a large primate type yet to be discovered, but admit it's pretty unlikely. As for aliens, a space faring race would have less interest in human beings than a nuclear sub captain has about what's crawling on the ocean floor. We are irrelevant to advanced beings. Given the size of the known universe it's impossible that only earth has "intelligent" life. Whether or not they've travelled here is up for debate.
