Head2Head
I am a Marshal for the Wisconsin River event. Can't wait and will post about the experience. Has anyone else done it?

I saw a post looking for help. I considered it but ultimately decided to pass. I look forward to reading about your experience.

Just wanted to report back on my marshall experience.
On monday the angler I was with was trolling the same area as some of the leaders but was unable to pull a 2 pounder. It was definately a learning experience trolling with 6 or 7 boats in a one mile stretch. I have never trolled with boards so was able to gain a little knowledge there. I was also surprised at the small cranks being used. They were about the size I have used to troll for crappies. The second day was mostly all jigging dropoffs in the upper lake area. It was another day of shorts but I got to see livescope in action. Trolled leadcore at the end of the day to catch some shorts for AOY points. Both Anglers were class acts and I look forward to the next time. The tournament staff was also professional and organized. As a side note, I rode in a Skeeter the first day and really liked the layout and ride. Seems kind of silly but I really liked the dash space on the passenger console. It also had the wavepro seats and had never ridden on those before. Obviously all of these boats are nice that was just one of my observations. |

Thank you.
Do you think the small cranks were to small and thats why he couldn't get bigger bites? Was everybody else using bigger cranks?

No not really. They were cathing small perch and whitebass so I would think the bigger walleyes would be eating that kind of forage. But suffice it to say I am not a pro and have only paid to fish and never won anything,

The “big fish were caught on the smaller cranks and plastics
