600 Tekota on boat rods 700 for board rods the 700's the the gold standard for planer board fishing they are winches and pull in musky with ease as well as large hard pulling baits or big blades at any speed.
Rod 7 ft Ugly Stik Tigers in Medium, boat rods 10 ft Ugly stick Big Waters Dipsy rods. I use this setup on inland water in Ohio and St Clair. Most charters on LSC run tigers and 700's. Saltists LC have a higher gear ratio than the tekotas so they don't winch in baits or fish with as much ease as the tekota.

I'd also go with the Tekotas over the Saltists for that application. Saltists are awesome, but as mentioned, they're too fast for what you're doing.
You could also look at Daiwa Sealines in the 47 and 57 sizes. Not as nice as the Tekotas, but a bit friendlier on the wallet (and similar gear ratio).

If you want the best, buy tekotas, if you want to spend $100 or sometimes less and have a reliable workhorse of a reel then buy Okuma coldwater reels. I have 4 seasons on my coldwater reels and haven't had any issues with them. I haven't even had them cleaned. I split my time between casting and trolling so they aren't really being abused by any means but they work great. If one ever breaks or malfunctions I may replace with a tekota.
As far as rods go, I mainly use Custom X trolling rods. I also have a Black River rod that works good but it certainly isn't a custom X by any means. I have a shimano TDR trolling rod that works well also and was very inexpensive.
