I would take everyones answers and subtract 10 mph. It seems to me a lot of people are making claims that seem pretty fast compared to what I experiance.
Anywhoo, I have a Starcraft Fishmaster 196 with a 175 Verado, with 3 people, 50 gallons of fuel, a kicker, 4 batteries I can run about 45 mph at 6400 rpms, 19p prop. Economy cruise at 4500 rpms I run about 35 mph and get 3x the gas mileage. |

What do you mean by "a pretty fast boat for what it is?" The fastest I have seen is 48.5 by myself running with little gas. Usually 46-47 with multiple people and gas in the boat. I have it propped for all around performance, good hole shot, etc. If I wanted a speed prop and a hole shot like a 4 stroke, I could probably go faster.....

My erie boat did 58 kts with me and 5 others, had to stop the insanity at the gas pump once my daughter started college last year and sold it, won't miss 300.00 fill ups. Presently reduced to running a lowly tracker with a 70 hp johnson that does 30 kts with me and fishin buddy. No regrets!

My 2010 Lund Explorer 1725 Sport with the Mercury 115 EFI a 9.9 kicker, 2 guys, full gear and gas I got 42mph on the GPS. Traded that in for a 1875 Pro-V with the new Yamaha F200. Speed still to be determined since I don't have the boat yet
