Default Arrow weight & kinetic energy

Currently flinging North American 45/60 carbon arrows cut @ 30" w/ aluminum inserts tipped w/ Thunderhead 100g fixed 3-blade broadheads, 3.78" vanes & Tru-nocks.

Question is: these arrows w/ the current set-up are around 8.3gpi. Would I have to make adjustments to the sights & draw weight if I were to switch to a heavier arrow like a 9.6 or 10.4gpi?

Looking for down-range energy (maximum penetration @ 25+ yds) instead of speed (my bow is around 265 IBO w/ these arrows).

Also, is anyone a believer in putting the broadhead blades on the same plane as the vanes/fletching??

Some say this "tuning" of the arrow decreases friction w/in the flight path (trims the profile of the arrow) thus flattening the trajectory, decreasing wind deflection, & improving accuracy.

I'm not sure I buy into this because all my arrows have the blades offset from the vanes & I'm shooting 2" 3 arrow groups @ 20yds. I believe this way puts a better spin on the arrow. Your thoughts??
Thanks in advance.
